Do you have a list of things to do that never seem to end on a daily basis? Do you work extra hours or go overtime out of fear of not being able to accomplish anything? Do you feel sick on the inside because you find yourself not having time for your loved ones or even for yourself?
If you can relate to any of the scenarios above, you might be an achievement junkie.
First, I want to congratulate you for setting your goals and taking action. Second, I want to raise my concerns on how your state of being an achievement junkie might do you more harm than good.
If you find yourself feeling sick, tired and overworked, it might be time to reassess yourself. There has to be a balance. Take a moment to relax. You have to get clear on what you really want. Having so much to do is a result of poorly identified goals. You have to get clear on setting your SMART goals. When you take action, it is led by love and for a higher calling.
When you get clear on what you want you start saying no to other things that are taking up your time and taking out your creativity, your focus and taking you from your family.
Whatever it is you are striving for, get after it in a smart way. You should be able to live life abundantly. Let love pull you into your meaningful work.
Live life simply. Be grateful. Invest in true wealth. Life is much sweeter spending it with people you love. Time is commodity that we cannot get back. Spend it wisely.
