Why is it considered work?
What are the reasons why one should do the inner work?
To do the inner work is to discover the beauty, creativity, love, passion and purpose that is within you. It means to bring forth those qualities that resonate with your true self and to release them to the world. There are parts of our selves that deep within our subconscious that we are not fully aware of. From our experiences, we may have repressed the qualities that make us who we truly are, out of fear of being unloved or unaccepted. We are afraid to reveal our true selves because our past has discouraged us to do so. We build up walls and conceal what is genuine and what makes us special. We have succumbed to conformity because we are scared to go against what society finds acceptable and lovable. We deny our true selves the opportunity to be truly loved and accepted.
It is considered work because it is messy and it can get ugly at first. We will be coming face to face with our deepest darkest fears, worries, limiting beliefs and negative self-talk. But it is necessary because as we peel away the layers of pretensions that we have created for ourselves, we realize that our true power comes from discovering our beauty within.
Why should we do inner work? Because it is the only way to find true happiness and contentment in life. As we get closer to who we really are and know our purpose in this world, our thoughts, words, and actions will be attuned to our true self. We will be able to receive the love that we deserve because we know our real worth. We will figure out that we are so much more, that we are worth so much more and that we deserve better.
Do the inner work now. Let it guide you on how to live your life. All the answers are within you.
