But - before building out my team I was able to reach more people with less effort by multiplying the impact of every high-quality piece of content I make.


How to Amplify Your Content Marketing Impact


When it comes to reaching more people with less effort there are two primary strategies available to you.


The first one is paid advertising.


Paid advertising can be great but only if you have the bankroll to back it up.


This means investing in sponsored posts and maybe even an expert which can end up costing a lot of your hard-earned cash.


I always recommend that you get your business fire blazing hot first. 🔥


What do I mean by that?


I mean that I want to see that you have successfully converted a cold prospect into a red hot buyer by leveraging your content marketing strategy first.


The most effective content marketing strategy to reach more people with less effort is to convert one high-quality piece of content into many.


Whether you hire a team so that you can delegate some of these steps or you are a one-woman show, this method will help you show up consistently and authentically without having to spend hours and hours on content each week.


Your main piece of content has to be something juicy with tons of information and ideas to branch off from, so I like to use my Youtube videos as a launchpad for the rest of my content.


Lots of people like to use their podcast episodes or live streams instead.


It’s up to you where your starting point is, but here’s an example of how I break it down for me and my team.👇🏼


Step #1: Research

During the research phase, your work is to figure out who your ideal audience is, what they need help with and what they’re willing to pay for.


This is one of those steps that is harder to delegate because YOU are the one who knows your clients and community the best.


What I like to do is survey my current audience either in person or by email list.


I usually ask them to share what they are struggling with within their business and what questions they would love to have my help answering.


Once you’ve gathered all that info, you are ready to move on to the next step. ✅


Step #2: Decide

This is another one of those steps that YOU will need to do as CEO of your business.


With the information that I’ve collected from my clients, I make some decisions about what topics I want to cover with my content in order to serve my community best.


This is when you really have to think like a google searcher. Step into your ideal clients’ shoes and think about what they might be typing into the search bar.


What question might they be searching for that will lead them towards investing in your products or services.


Thinking like a google searcher will help you optimize your content for SEO keywords and focus your piece of content around a core topic that will excite potential clients.


Step #3: Plan

At this point, it’s time to plan out your pillar piece of content so that you can be sure you cover all the questions your current audience has.


And this doesn’t have to be a super formal plan.


I just sit down and write out a loose script of bullet points that help me keep track of all the valuable content I want to offer my viewers.


Then, I take it straight to production.


Step #4: Shoot/Record


Once I’ve got all my research and planning behind me, I show up and record myself delivering my expertise.


My method of choice is by recording Youtube videos, but like I said, podcasting or going live is another great way to create a high-quality piece of content that can be converted into many, many more.


And friends, this doesn’t have to be complicated.


I shoot all my videos on my phone using a $20 lapel mic while standing in front of a window.


Your content doesn’t have to have top-notch production quality. What’s important is that you show up and answer people's burning questions.❤️


That footage whether video or audio can get edited and cleaned up into a polished piece of content that is ready to be shared and converted into more content.


Step #5: Repurpose/Convert


This is the step where you see how one juicy piece of content can multiply and help you to reach more people with less effort.


Here’s what happens once my core piece of content (my Youtube video) is done being edited:


🎙️ The audio becomes a podcast:

My video editor strips the audio from the edited video and sends it over to my podcast producer.


She then adds a podcast-style intro and outro and - BOOM, we’ve got ourselves a podcast.


This helps me show up in even more online spaces without having to do any extra recording.


📝 The transcription becomes a blog post:

Anyone who knows me can tell you that I am NOT a writer.


I much prefer showing up in audio or video platforms.


SO - My team takes transcription from my Youtube video and converts it into a blog post that covers all the same topics as my video in a written format.


And this blog post is able to be SEO optimized by my social media expert so that my content ranks higher in the google search engine.


📥 The blog transforms into a newsletter:

Based on the blog post, my team creates a newsletter for my community updating them on all the ways they can stay connected to me and my work.


This is a great opportunity to nurture my relationship with my email list subscribers and direct them towards my offers in a more personal way.


📱 All of this content inspires my social posts:

From this core piece of content, my content manager creates 4 social posts that I can use on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter.


This ends up being TEN pieces of content per week.


I am able to show up consistently, stress-free on all my social media platforms.


Now that I’ve broken it down you can clearly see how much this is a team effort in my business.
