Online Marketing Strategies That Actually Work For Your Coaching Business | Molly Ann Luna

Are you looking for online marketing strategies that work to grow your coaching business?

In this episode, I will share with you some of my best tips that have helped me grow my coaching business fast.

My name is Molly Ann Luna; I'm a life and business success coach.

In this episode, I'm going to share with you some online marketing strategies that have worked well for me over the years. And the best part is they cost ZERO dollars to set up.

1. Set an objective

Know where it is you want to go. Without a clear objective on what you're trying to achieve, you can quickly get lost in a sea of confusion in the online space.

If you're like me, you decided to take your coaching business online because you wanted to free up your time and make more money. Experience what I call True Wealth.

The sooner you know where you want to go the faster you can put a smart plan together to get there.

2. Identify your target audience and create buyer personas

I'm sure you and I are a lot alike. We have big hearts who love helping lots of people solve big problems. But when it comes to winning big in the online space, you must hone your marketing messaging by narrowing your focus to one target audience.

This audience could be chosen by their demographics, psychographics, or geographical location.

It doesn't matter as long as you're clear on who you feel most called to serve.

I was that kid on the playground who would introduce everyone to everyone and help them find their clique. I never want anyone to feel left out, so this exercise was hard for me to do at first.

Heck, if I'm being honest, it's still hard.

As soon as I realized that I was to serve people like me, service-based business owners with a heart of gold who want to do significant work in the world and be home to raise their kids and build strong family bonds, the faster my coaching business skyrocketed.

Why?

Because I began to show up more authentically for "my" people, you will too.

So to help you narrow down your niche without losing out, I have episode 143 to tune into after this one.

3. Research the best social media platforms for your target audience

Not all social media platforms are created equal.

I know that you might LOVE tik-tok, but you have to ask yourself, "is that where my target audience is hanging out?"

A few years back, I spent all of my time on Facebook until new clients came rolling in and told me they were never on Facebook; YouTube was their go-to.

*lightbulb*

I needed to stop going live on Facebook and start creating evergreen youtube content immediately if I was going to continue to grow my coaching business.

This isn't a field of dreams moment. (shout-out to my fellow Iowans)

It's not a build it, and they will come.

It goes where your people are.

I discuss this in-depth in episode #139 and how to develop a social media strategy step-by-step. Check it out!

4. Create a marketing sales funnel

Creating a marketing sales funnel is an absolute must if you create a lifestyle and financial freedom for yourself.

Essentially a marketing sales funnel your customer journey experience on autopilot.

When it comes to building one out, it can be as cheap or expensive as the software tools you choose to use to create one.

In my signature program, The Income Amplifier, my team and I will teach you how to get paid to launch your online course business and self-published book. And then click those two new passive income streams into an evergreen sales machine, aka a marketing sales funnel, for little to nothing.

The beautiful part is that once it's clicked into place, you can return to doing what you do best.

Bringing new awareness to your business and profoundly serving your paid customers.

5. Create high-quality content that is relevant to your target audience using keyword research

I made a rookie move early in my online business: publishing content for content's sake.

I'd choose to[pics I was interested in, passionate about, and that I thought would bring tremendous value to my viewers.

All of which are still true.

But because I forgot/didn't know that I needed to do keyword research beforehand, that content has barely surfaced into the light of day.

Want proof?

Check out my "coffee with mojo" playlist on my youtube channel

My husband and I published over 46 episodes of that show, but we lacked steps 1-5 when we did so. It was fun to create but didn't lead to dollars in the bank, and this is not what I want for you.

Doing keyword research isn't as hard as you might think.

Firstly, a keyword is a word or group of words commonly punched into the google search bar by your ideal target audience looking for answers to their problems, so step #1 is that you have to think like your client.

Where are they on their journey? What problems are they facing? What words might they use to find answers to those problems?

Then you can use free/low-cost tools to help you identify which keywords you choose to use in your latest blog post, youtube video, or podcast episode.

A few tools my team and I use include:

Keywords everywhere https://kwe.ai/kdCA0B

Tube buddy - https://www.tubebuddy.com/mollyannluna

VidIQ - vidi1.com/mollyannluna

6. Drive traffic

Once you have done steps 1-6, now you need to continue to drive traffic to the top of your marketing sales funnel.

How?

I have an entire video training series on this, so be sure you subscribe to the Youtube channel and scroll through my library content of videos.

A few quick ideas are to continue producing high-quality, keyword-rich content and to publish new content each week.

I also highly recommend that while you're levering online marketing strategies to grow your coaching business, you don't forget about using offline marketing tactics to boost brand awareness.

You can drive traffic to your online marketing sales funnel by sharing your business with people you bump into at local community events, the farms market, the gas station, what have you.

Remember, no one cares more about the success of your business than you do, so be proud of what you are building and share it with anyone and everyone you meet. You never know. They just might be your next client.

7. Analyze your results and make changes as needed

Building an online business is just like anything else in life. It takes focus, dedication, and a lot of trial and error.

Tech glitches.

Social platforms crumble.

Messaging mishap happen.

Anything and everything can go wrong.

Establishing an automated online business for your coaching business isn't a set-it-and-forget deal. You must analyze your results and make tweaks and changes as you go.

Give yourself grace.

Celebrate the small wins, and I promise you'll have a wonderful time solving one of the best puzzles on the planet, how to leverage online marketing strategies so that you can scale and skyrocket your online coaching business.

Now I'd love to hear from you.

My team and I are always open to feedback on how we can improve and continue to create high-value content to support you on your journey.
